By teaming with our customers and other project partners, we refine processes to make them financially attractive and commercially successful.No matter what the application, our team gets on board quickly to apply our expertise to a customer's project. With the support of other engineering disciplines within our company, and our expert consultants & partners, Tai’s process engineers can tackle development in any phase of a project within our area of expertise. The direction taken depends entirely on the needs and opportunities of each customer; either it is a brand new project, a project up grade or a project modification.


Service for Every Stage of Development and More

TAI provides high-value service in process development at all stages of the development cycle. We provide project definition and process conceptualization at the start of a project, and we evaluate technologies for technical and commercial merit. We plan and manage research programs. We also coordinate between laboratories, equipment vendors and our customer to generate pertinent data and insightful analysis and keep the project moving forward.

From bench- and pilot-scale testing, we move into process scale-up with process simulations, process flow diagrams, and equipment selection. Equipment testing is performed to ensure vendors can guarantee the operation of their equipment, an essential element to financial backing. We also develop process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangements, and other engineering documents to support both preliminary design and the estimation of capital costs.

Beyond front-end engineering, TAI offers every engineering service an owner would and should perform in support of project execution if the owner had the appropriate staff and resources to do so. We call this owner’s engineering. On behalf of the owner, we put together a virtual engineering team that supports the owner in every discipline and in every phase of the project. This custom team can prepare vendor specifications, bid documents and complete detailed design.

If the owner is instead inclined to work with an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, we work with our customer to prepare the bid package for their selection and aid in the selection process.

When it's time to build the plant, we monitor the EPC contractor through construction and assist with plant commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting and process optimization.

Depending on the owner’s requirements, we offer total program management. Program management is the ability to lead the coordinated and efficient execution of all phases of a project, from the concept stage, through to commercial operation. This incorporates many of the duties led by traditional organizations with large internal project resources, including permitting, financial modeling, site selection, and owner’s engineering.
